It was built in the 18th century as the palace for the Medici family. The hotel is decorated in antique style with high vaulted ceilings and some of the original antiques. Located in a tree-covered site with its own garden right in the very center of the old city near all points of interest, the Villa Medici boasts 88 elegant rooms and 15 luxurious suites, decorated in different styles and offering the most beautiful views of Florence. The Royal Suites offer its hospitality to some of the most notable names of the aristocracy, politics, finance and the arts. All the rooms are equipped with air conditioning, heating, bathroom, hair dryer, direct dial telephone, satellite color TV, mini bar, safe deposit box, and sprinkler system.
