There are 29 suites, the most prestigious of which is
the Tolstoy Suite with its original 19th century Tuscan oil paintings.
There is also a dedicated non-smoking floor.
All of the rooms offer air conditioning, mini-bar, satellite TV, 24-hour room service,
safety deposit box, and a courtesy bathroom kit.
Some communicating rooms are available.

The hotel, which dates back to 1792,
is located in a tranquil yet central area between the Vespucci Arno Enbankment
and the Borgognissanti district
and is in a walking distance from the S. Maria Novella railway station.
It is 6 km from Florence Amerigo Vespucci Airport.
It is an ideal base for those attending events at the Fortezza da Basso exhibition centre,
from which is a mere 15 minute walk.
Driving directions:
From Highway A1
- exit at Firenze Certosa, follow direction for downtown. Once arrived to Porta Romana (an ancient Florence door) keep going along the walls until you reach the river. Cross the bridge and turn right following the river. Make it left on the first (via Magenta), turn right on the third (via Montebello) and make it right on the first (via Garibaldi) and there you are.
From Florence Airport
- follow directions for downtown until you get to viale Belfiore (a big Boulevard) make it right and then, once you have reached Porta al Prato ( an ancient Florence door), keep going on the left hand side of the street. At the traffic light go straight ahead towards the river. Turn left and follow the river. Make it left on the first (via Magenta), turn right on the third (via Montebello) and make it right on the first (via Garibaldi) and there you are.
