Located in Poggio a Caiano, in a quiet residential area, on a panoramic hill, close to the beautiful Villa Medicea "Ambra", the hotel Hermitage is ideal both for business and leisure travelers. The hotel lies just 18 km from the artistic treasures of Florence and 6 Kms from Prato. Within short driving distance there are Carmignano, the medieval village of Artimino and some of the best wineries and olive oil producers in the Montalbano region. Nearby you can visit Etruscan monuments like the ruins in Artimino, the Etruscan necropolis in Poggio alla Malva and the tombs of Comeana.

The hotel features 5 single rooms, 53 twin/double rooms and 2 junior suites. All rooms, completely refurbished at the end of the year 2000, are equipped with a private bathroom, satellite TV, hair-dryer, and direct-dial phone. The junior suites also offer bathrobes and mini-bar.

Location

The hotel is located 18 kilometers away from the artistic treasures of Florence, 6 kilometers away from Prato and 3 kilometers away from its industrial district Macrolotto, 16 kilometers away from Pistoia, 12 kilometers away from Quarrata. Directions:

From Prato East
After the toll turn right (direction SIGNA). Before the bridge turn right (towards Signa-Poggio a Caiano) and right again (towards Firenze-Campi Bisenzio-Signa). Go straight ahead for about 5.5 Km (pass a few roundabouts, a traffic light, another roundabout). Pass the Renault car dealer and the Agip service station. At the traffic light in Indicatore turn right towards Pistoia-Poggio a Caiano. Drive straight ahead for about 5 Km. Enter Poggio a Caiano and drive through the town center (pass by the Villa Medicea Đ on the right side of the hill top). At the flashing traffic light (after the downhill slope) turn left. At the roundabout turn right. Take the second road on the left and the second one on the right.

From Prato West
After the toll turn right (towards Prato Centro). Drive halfway through the roundabout and then straight ahead for about 1.7 Km (towards Prato Centro-Poggio aCaiano) till you a reach a second roundabout. Turn right. At the next roundabout (after just a few meters) go straight ahead and drive approximately 5 Kms to the very end of the road. Turn left, then right and follow the sign "Tutte le direzioni". At the traffic light, turn left (towards Firenze). Drive 2 Km and enter Poggio a Caiano. At the flashing traffic light (by the Supermarket PAM) turn right. At the roundabout turn right. Take the second road on the left and the second one on the right.
