Welcome to the Gambrinus! This gorgeous hotel, owned and managed by an American, was completely restored in 2000 with the discerning international traveler in mind. Rarely will you find so many amenities in any hotel, much less a three-star. Rooms are beautifully furnished with satin wall coverings, brocade upholstery and lacquered Empire-style furniture. The hotel boasts 58 rooms, most of which are doubles. All of them are equipped with a private bathroom, hair dryer, air conditioning, heating, direct dial telephone, satellite TV, internet connection, movie in room, pay TV, mini bar, safe, bathrobe tissues and containers of liquid soap on the vanity units. There are five "Family Rooms" which are connecting rooms with two doubles and two bathrooms. Some of the rooms face onto a private garden surrounded by the ancient walls of Rome. These rooms are smaller than the other rooms, but for those who like to sleep with open windows, the peaceful country like atmosphere might make up for the lack of space. Two floors are exclusively non-smoking. Children 0-6 years old stay free of charge in their parents' room. Baby cribs are available free of charge by reservation only. Other hotel features include facilities for physically disabled people, lift, bar, restaurant, baby-sitting, and a car park. The hotel accepts major credit cards.
