Situated between the Spanish steps and Piazza del Popolo, the hotel Valadier boasts one of the most beautiful positions within the heart of Rome where one can find the most exclusive shopping venues and major sights, all dominated by the glorious green of the Villa Borghese. Via della Fontanella is a small and quiet street that joins Via del Corso and Via del Babuino where the "Trident Fountain" flows in the splendid Piazza del Popolo which was designed by the architect Valadier. Here one can also find other beautiful works of art such as the twin churches, the Egyptian obelisk which is over 24 meters tall, the walls of Rome, the terrace of the Pincio and Santa Maria del Popolo where one can find two of Caravaggio's important paintings. In just a few minutes by foot one can reach the Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon and Piazza Navona. The ancient Palace boasts a curious and contradicting history. First it was a convent, then a brothel and finally in the 1950's it was converted into a family run hotel offering cordial and convivial atmosphere.
