The hotel was built in 1861 and since then it has been continually renovated. All of 173 rooms have marble bathrooms, air conditioning and satellite TV with an extensive choice of worldwide satellite channels. The amenities available to guests include the "II Borromeo" restaurant and piano bar, two outdoor swimming pools, tennis court, private heliport and large underground garage. The hotel houses a famous health center with indoor swimming pool, which offers a one-week package for body treatment guided by a high level medical team.
